whAT Did i saY?

Dear Dr. Reid-

As an Astrophysics enthusiasts, I'm hoping that you can provide me with some academic insight into the poignant issue that the center of the Milky Way galaxy is indeed a black hole and that our planet Earth, along with everything else that orbits that center, is being pulled towards it by way of gravitational force acting in such a way that produces a "whirlpool" effect that forms the arms of the galaxy.

Furthermore, if indeed the above is the case, that once a significant portion of the chemical elements are concentrated in this particular spot and the gravitational pressure is great enough, the elements begin to fuse with one another producing the explosion which is commonly known as the Big-Bang; sending once again parts and particles of elements shooting throughout the universe; some of which escape the gravitational pull and some that "linger" or orbit around this spot in or along their own systems, similar to our solar system, only to begin the process all over again.

At your best convenient time, I would greatly appreciate any advice, comments or feedback that a professional scientist of your stature may have on this issues. I would also appreciate any books or educational materials that you could recommend to further my interest and understanding of Astrophysics.

Thank you very much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to read this email and thank you in advance for any efforts in helping me further my education on these matters.
I wish you an enjoyable and relaxing weekend.

Sincerely,
